Spinal Flexion (cat pose variation)

Sit down and hook your hands or arms under your knees, then roll back so you are balanced on your pelvis. Now slump your back and drop your head forward, creating a stretch along your upper and middle back.

Spinal Extension (baby cobra)

Lie on your front and place your forearms by your sides. Push up your upper body, keeping your forearms and hands flat on the floor, creating an upper back arch. Be sure to consciously relax your lower back and push up from your arm muscles — never pull up from your back muscles.
